Green Industry Alliance

This experience began with our opposition to legislation banning the use of phosphorous and ended with a compromise that satisfied the environmental community as well as industry. On behalf of the Green Industry Alliance, BCB forced a discussion and subsequent negotiation with a clear plan to make sure the law was rooted in science. 

 

BCB secured language that requires all related regulations to be consistent with the University of Massachusetts’ published guidelines and best management practices. This law has stood the test of time and resulted in several municipal bylaws being rejected by the Municipal Division of the Attorney General’s office. This effort demonstrated BCB’s ability to successfully negotiate a compromise with several stakeholders and drive consensus among legislators to get the bill enacted and signed by the Governor.
